Job Title: Chemical Analyst - FMCG

Location: Dopemu, Lagos

Job Summary

As a Chemical Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our spice products by performing chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.

You will work alongside a dedicated team to support our commitment to delivering high-quality and sustainable products to our customers.

Responsibilities

Perform chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they comply with quality and safety standards.

Collect samples from various stages of production and storage, following established sampling procedures to maintain traceability.

Operate and maintain analytical instruments and equipment used in chemical testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.

Analyze test results, interpret findings, and promptly report any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped chemical laboratory to meet regulatory and internal quality standards.

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to develop and implement quality control procedures and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Prepare and maintain detailed records of test results, standard operating procedures, and laboratory documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards in the spice industry, ensuring that the company's products comply with all applicable laws and guidelines.

Work with the Research and Development team to evaluate and implement new chemical testing methods and technologies that enhance spice product quality and safety.

Effectively communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Production, and Research and Development, to drive corrective actions and improvements in spice product quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chemical analyst in an FMCG or a related industry.

Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical instruments and equipment.

Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques and quality control practices.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles is a plus.

Salary

N150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
