Enterprise Training Officers needed

Location: Abuja

Services open to applications are:

1. Aquaculture Enterprise Training Specialist

2. Horticulture Enterprise Training Specialist

3. Mushroom Enterprise Training Specialist; and

4. Poultry & Heliculture Combined Training Specialist.

Primary responsibilities

▪ The enterprise training specialist (Aquaculture, Horticulture, Mushroom, Poultry/Heliculture) will provide training and leadership to ensure the proper implementation of project objectives and delivery of project’s training outputs across the relevant agribusiness enterprises.

▪ The training officers oversee curriculum designing, reviews training manuals and slides.

▪ They will ensure that all training protocols are being adhered to consistently.

▪ They will synergize project partners with regards to support for trainings of youth participants.

▪ Support the program coordinator in effective and timely submission of training materials and

updates of materials in line with project requirement.

▪ Preparation and supervision of daily routine; class management and trainees’ assessments.

▪ Work in partnership with the Project Coordinator and the Finance & Administrative Manager to

ensure and facilitate the enterprise development in collaboration with relevant local partners

where present.

▪ Perform other key tasks as may be assigned by the project management.

▪ Agriculture/Creative arts expertise and comprehensive experiences in urban agriculture; ▪ Experience in providing training, facilitating, coaching, and mentoring to youths

▪ Good command of English both writing and speaking.

▪ Good interpersonal skills, proactive and independent in delivering results

▪ High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc,)

▪ Ability to train and supervise others

Basic Requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Agribusiness, Business Management, Horticulture, Livestock, or related fields.

At least 3 years managing agriculture activities around climate smart agriculture, urban farming, sustainable farming and 2 years’ experience training youths.

Experience working with donor funded youth programme.
