Port Facility Security Officer

 

 Our client in the logistic business in Apapa seeks to hire a Port Facility Security Officer to undertake effective safe guarding/safe keeping of company properties and customer’s consignment within the terminal.

 

Responsibilities

· To develop and implement security plans, policy and program after assessment. 

· To Advice management on security matters 

· To implement management decisions 

· To write incident reports and keep records.

· To train security operatives and convey unit security drills

· To supervise the performance of contract guards and appraise them. 

· To liaise with all relevant government agencies on security matters.

· To ensure use and maintenance of security equipment. 

· To monitor and supervise internal security personnel. 

· To ensure protection of life and property 

 

· To prevent criminals within the terminal 

· Arrest and handover of criminals to the police. 

· Any other job as may be assigned by the management 

 

 

Requirement

Profound and extensive working experience and knowledge on security matters and requisite infrastructure. A good psychological knowledge of man and criminology. Reporting Skills, Administrative Skill Microsoft Office Skills, Managing Process, Organization, analyzing information, professionalism, problem solving verbal communication etc. 

Language Skills (English)

 Ability to read and write reports and correspondence. 

Qualifications/background

 Holder of 1st Degree with at least five-year cognate working experience or school certificate

in WAEC/GCE with minimum of fifteen years’ cognate working experience.
