JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title - Civil Engineer

 Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other topographical data to plan project activities.

 Inspect project site and activities to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standard.

 Conduct daily briefing with site team leaders to follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned task.

 Ensure that all materials used and works performed are in accordance with the specifications.

 Manage, monitor and supervise the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.

 Preparation and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).

 Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity and design practicability.

 Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labour to determine project

feasibility.

 Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly project performance/progress reports.

 Attend coordination meetings organized by client and consultants.

 Conduct regular inspections and assess the work performance done by all subcontractors.

 Practical application of engineering works to quality project delivery & completion.

 Supervision of technical manpower deployed to project.

 Perform and adjust quality calculations for practical and budgetary purposes.

 Prepare drawings and schematic designs based on the project.

 Ensure equipment and procedures comply with safety regulations.

 Ensure budgets, timescale and project specifications are met.

 Attend daily site safety/toolbox meetings.

 Any assigned duty by management towards effective and lawful discharge of duties and

responsibilities.

 

SKILLS

 Ability to use Microsoft Office like word, excel, PowerPoint and Engineering Software

 Good communication skill

 Ability to work independently without supervision

 Attention to details

Education/Professional Certification & Experience Required

 BSc./HND Civil Engineering

 COREN professional Certification

 Minimum of 5-6 years experience.
