We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bank Reconciliation Officer

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

-Reconcile accounts that fall into receivable records with the sales invoices

-Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions

-General ledger reconciliations

-Account reconciliations such as bank statements

-Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports

-Reconcile and process transactions that are complex in nature (use of ERP systems)

-Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the management

-Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in all reconciliation activities

-Improve personal skill set regarding software proficiency, financial analysis and data processing

-Reconcile discrepancies in different accounts

-Perform all other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization

Qualifications / Requirements

-Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or any related Degree

-1+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of commercial credit risk strategies

-Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required

-Superior communication, organization and presentation skills desired

-Experience with and in the use of IFRS.

Job Knowledge:

-Strong knowledge of accounting principles and comfort with evaluating financial statements and business models across a range of industries

-Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes

-Possess a working knowledge of consumer credit risk management and sound market and industry knowledge

-Have an understanding of the key drivers of consumer loan/credit card financials and the underlying consumer behaviors that drive those financials
