Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Ashipa Village, Abeokuta, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

-Responsible for daily administration of financial and accounting practices of the business.

-Perform accounting duties as directed including budgeting and costing control.

-Responsible for costing and pricing of stock items, including in-progress and finished products.

-Assist management in preparing documentation for budgeting and financial reporting procedures.

-Develop accounting and financial management systems and reports.

-Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

-Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

-Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

-Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

-Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

-Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

-Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

-Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

-Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

-Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Requirements

-B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or relevant courses.

-Relevant certification (e.g. ICAN) will be preferred.

-Proven experience as a Financial Manager, chief or Senior accountant.

-Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

-In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

-Awareness of business trends.

-Familiarity with financial accounting statements.

-Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks, Sage and QuickBooks.

-Accuracy and attention to detail.
