Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices and reconciling any irregularities in receipts.

To be successful in this position, you must possess commercial and business awareness skills, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritise and ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

Prepare and send invoices to clients

Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices

Reconcile any irregularities in receipts

Maintain precise records of all incoming payments

Performing all other account reconciliations

Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries

Assisting in general financial management and analysis

Generating account statements

Work collaboratively with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances

Audit all receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting

Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed

Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payment

Performing all other tasks assign by the finance team

Requirements

B.Sc or HND in Accounting

Part qualified (ICAN or ACCA)

Minimum of two (2) years cognate working experience (preferably in the retail industry)

Ability to use Sage accounting software

Commercial and business awareness.

Problem-solving skills and initiative.

Strong attention to detail.

Good time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.

Ability to work well in a team and build strong working relationships.

Excellent IT skills

Proficiency in MS Office specifically in Microsoft Excel.

The desire to learn and take on new challenges.
